IMPORTANT NOTICE:
If you have purchased a NoSpillŪ 5 gallon gas
can since August 2009 and it leaks from the filler neck (where the nozzle attaches)
when you tip the can to pour, please contact us immediately. Your can may be part of
a recall.
To determine if your can is
included in this recall:

Update January 26 --
Your container is not part of this recall unless it leaks when you tip to pour. In
fact, only 2% of the 7,488 total cans included in this recall will require replacement.
Odds are 50 to 1 in your favor that your No Spill can will work well for you for a long
time. |

If your can does not leak when you tip it up
to pour it is not part of the recall. |
|
|
|
|

Check the manufacture date code on the bottom
of your can: |
|
|

If your 5 gallon can has a date code that looks like this and it shows AIP09202 through
AIP09222, it is part of a recall.
(this date code example shows AIP09208 and therefore is within
the recall range) |

If you dont see a date code that looks
like this on the bottom of your can is not part of the recall. |
|
If your can
meets the recall criteria, please do the following:
|
 |
Remove the nozzle from your can, then disable
and dispose of the container (see pictures below). |
|
 |
Send an email to recall@nospill.com including:
1. your name and address
2. the date code number from the bottom of your can
3. attach a picture of your disabled can |
|

 |
|
|
To disable your can, either drill hole(s) in
the bottom or saw off the filler neck |
|
NoSpill will
then send you a replacement 5 gallon can:

 |
You must Install your old nozzle on your new
replacement can. |
|
